CHARLESTON, S.C. — Mayor William Cogswell will take Charleston’s neighborhood-by-neighborhood State of Our City series to Daniel Island on Tuesday, Oct. 20, with a session focused on issues specific to the island.
The program runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Daniel Island Recreation Center. Residents will get updates from the mayor, their council members and other local leaders on projects in the area, covering roads and other infrastructure, public safety and quality of life, and will have time to put questions to them.
Questions and topic requests can be sent to the city online before the night. Every resident is welcome.
The tour has already stopped in West Ashley, at West Ashley High School, and on Johns Island, at St. John’s High School. The city has posted video and slides from those nights on its State of Our City page and says files for the remaining neighborhoods will go up as each event happens.
After Daniel Island, the series moves to James Island on Nov. 5 and wraps up on the peninsula on Nov. 12.
