MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Dec. 12 Touchstone Energy all-star kickoff in Myrtle Beach at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium will include nine Lowcountry seniors after Wednesday roster news.
From Berkeley, quarterback Henry Rivers made the South list alongside Oceanside Collegiate passer Aiden Manavian. Cross contributed running back Mahky Green, and Lucy Beckham sent offensive lineman Kye Coleman.
James Island defensive lineman Robert Grant and Bishop England lineman Matthew Ponkow were named, as were Summerville linebacker Eli Pressley and Wando linebacker Ben Eikenberry. Cane Bay specialist Aiden Thorn will handle kicking and punting.
The series is in its 79th year. Kickoff is set for noon on Dec. 12, and the Lower State names posted Wednesday afternoon.
Rivers plans college baseball at the College of Charleston. Manavian is headed to Davidson after clearing 10,000 career passing yards. Eikenberry this week pledged to Cornell.
