College of Charleston Equestrian Team Begins NCEA Season
The #2 College of Charleston NCEA team started their season with 5-4 losses to #6 Sacred Heart and #4 Dartmouth during opening weekend.
The Cougars began their road trip competing against Sacred Heart. Ella Collins and Samantha Elliot earned points in fences, resulting in a 2-2 tie before the flat competition. Lainie Rubin and Samantha Aisenberg secured points on the flat, but Sacred Heart edged the Cougars 3-2. Samantha Aisenberg received her first Most Outstanding Performer honor of the season on the flat against Sacred Heart.
Charleston continued their weekend competition at Dartmouth. Lainie Rubin and Samantha Elliot secured points for the Cougars on the fences. Samantha Aisenberg and Daphne Stavig won their draws on the flat.
The Cougars are scheduled to return to NCEA action at home on October 17-18, where they will host Sewanee and Berry.
