College of Charleston’s Noonan Earns CAA Co-Offensive Player Honor
College of Charleston middle blocker Caroline Noonan was recently named the Coastal Athletic Association Co-Offensive Player. Noonan shared this recognition with Beatriz Braga from Hofstra.
Noonan’s performance was instrumental in guiding Charleston to a weekend sweep against Towson. During these matches, she recorded 27 kills, averaging 3.38 kills per set, with an impressive .520 hitting percentage and only one error in 50 attempts.
In a three-set victory over the Tigers on Saturday, Noonan achieved a .556 hitting percentage, contributing 10 kills and three blocks. The following day, in a five-set match, she matched her career high with 17 kills, alongside eight blocks and five digs, maintaining a .500 attacking percentage.
Noonan’s contributions helped the Cougars extend their winning streak to 12 matches. This marks her second weekly award of the season, having previously been named CAA Offensive Player of the Week on September 14. She has accumulated six weekly honors throughout her career.
Charleston is scheduled to play North Carolina A&T on the road on October 2 and 3. The matches at Moore Gymnasium are set for 6 p.m. and 3 p.m.
