Gamecocks Women's Soccer Hosts Furman Sunday

The University of South Carolina women’s soccer team will host Furman on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. at Stone Stadium in Columbia. The game, which will be streamed live on SECN+, marks the conclusion of the weekend’s matches for the Gamecocks.

South Carolina enters the contest with a 2-1-0 record, while Furman holds a 1-1-0 record. The Gamecocks recently secured their first Palmetto Series point of the year by defeating No. 24 Clemson 1-0. This victory was the first against Clemson since 2018, following four consecutive draws between the two teams.

In the match against Clemson, senior midfielder Cuyler Zulauf scored her first goal of the season and 10th career goal with less than six minutes remaining, assisted by senior Sydney Middaugh. Fifth-year goalkeeper Christina Tsaousis made four saves, tying her season high, to secure South Carolina’s second clean sheet of the season.

Furman achieved its first win of the 2026 season on Tuesday with a 3-0 home victory over North Greenville. Former Gamecock Bri Pinasco was among the goal scorers for the Paladins in that match. Historically, South Carolina has a significant lead in the all-time series against Furman, with a 16-2-1 record. The most recent encounter in 2024 saw the Gamecocks win 5-1 at home.

For fans attending the game, parking will be available in the grass lot behind the Athletics Village Garage and at metered spots around the stadium. Overflow parking will be in the Roost parking lot.
