North Charleston, S.C. — Spirit Christmas is preparing to open at Tanger Outlets in North Charleston, converting the seasonal Spirit Halloween storefront at 4840 Tanger Outlet Blvd. into South Carolina’s first Spirit Christmas location, according to Spencer Gifts, the parent company.
Five Spirit Christmas stores open Oct. 17 with grand-opening promotions, while the remaining 39 locations — including North Charleston — are scheduled to open in the first week of November after they transition from Spirit Halloween stores.
Spirit Christmas has grown to 44 stores across 15 states after launching with 10 Northeast locations in 2024. The North Charleston site will sell Christmas decorations, inflatables, animatronics, gifts, apparel and stocking stuffers.
Spirit Halloween opened nearly 1,600 locations around Aug. 1 this year, including 16 in South Carolina. The chain has operated seasonal pop-ups for more than four decades.
Tanger Outlets anchors a major retail corridor in North Charleston’s Park Circle market area, giving the holiday conversion a high-traffic outlet setting for the November opening.
