Charleston-based Southeast Partners initiated construction on a $44 million residential community known as Murray Mill in downtown Anderson on September 17. The new garden-style apartment complex is situated at 520 Fair St., near Murray Avenue.
Project Details and Scope
Murray Mill will encompass 156 residential units distributed across multiple apartment buildings. The development team intends to construct seven new three-story buildings and restore a disused mill warehouse. This warehouse is associated with the former Anderson Cotton Mills, which was the city’s initial textile mill and later became a division of Abney Mills.
Linden Construction is serving as the contractor for this project. Renovations on the historic mill warehouse are anticipated to conclude within the first year of construction, with the entire project targeted for completion in under two years.
