What’s in Store for YOU?
Being part of the MYC isn’t just a title; it’s an active role where you can truly shine. So, what will you be doing on the commission? Well, for starters, you’ll meet monthly with the Office for Children, Youth, and Families staff, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. to discuss pressing issues. Additionally, you’ll have quarterly meetings with the Mayor of Charleston to share your insights and recommendations. This is your chance to provide real leadership, input, and innovative ideas to combat community problems.
You don’t just get to speak; you’ll play a vital role in determining strategies and empowering your peers. It’s a way to ensure that the perspectives of young folks are not just heard, but are also at the forefront of community decisions.
