Just 25 years later, Abe opened the first official furniture store at 533 King St., laying the groundwork for what would become a beloved family enterprise.
Fast forward to 1961, and the Kirshtein family expanded their reach with a new store in North Charleston. For three generations, family members have been at the helm, with Stan, Michael, and David Kirshtein managing the business for the last 35 years. Their dedication to quality and service has built a reputation that locals have come to trust over the decades.
The Kirshtein family has not just been selling furniture; they have been a part of the community’s fabric for over 100 years. Customers have enjoyed personalized service, helpful staff, and a wide variety of options that made furnishing homes a delightful experience. The liquidation will cover both remaining locations: 5550 Rivers Ave. in North Charleston and 303 Robertson Blvd. in Walterboro.
