Among the most prominent inductees is DeAndre Hopkins, who played football for Clemson from 2010 to 2012. During his collegiate career, he recorded 206 receptions for a total of 3,020 yards and achieved 27 touchdowns. Hopkins ranks in the Top 5 of the program’s history for receptions, yards, and touchdowns. In his final season, he was named to the all-ACC first team and recognized as a second-team All-American, achieving an ACC-record 18 touchdown receptions.
Chester McGlockton, another key inductee, played defensive tackle for Clemson from 1988 to 1991, finishing his college career with 151 tackles, 39 tackles for loss, and 20.5 sacks. In 1991, he earned all-ACC first-team honors with 62 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and 7 sacks. Like Hopkins, he was a first-round draft pick in the NFL and has since been inducted into multiple Halls of Fame, including the State of South Carolina Hall of Fame and the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame.
A significant recognition also goes to Stewart Ralph, a track and field athlete competing from 1975 to 1978, who became a three-time All-American in javelin and the first African American track athlete to earn All-America honors at Clemson in 1976.
Natoya Goule, who was a star for the Clemson women’s track team in 2015, won a national championship in the 800 meters at the NCAA Indoor Championship, posting a time of 2:01.64. This performance not only secured her a title but also set an all-time NCAA Indoor meet record as well as an ACC record.
The remaining inductees also made their marks within their sports. Oswald Drawdy, Donnie Heckel, Dov Kremer, Jennifer Mihalik, and Sophie Woorons all earned all-ACC honors during their athletic careers, contributing to the university’s rich sports legacy.
Additionally, Tim Bourret is honored for his significant role in the Clemson Sports Information office, where he worked for 40 years. He also spent a decade broadcasting Clemson football games and is the author of four books focused on the football program.
