The event will celebrate the release of the new thriller, Gone Before Goodbye, featuring discussions on storytelling techniques, collaborative writing, and the art of crafting successful thriller narratives.

Academy Award-winning actress, producer, and New York Times bestselling author Reese Witherspoon will join forces with Harlan Coben, a #1 global suspense author, for this engaging evening. The discussion will delve into their collaboration on the book, which centers around the protagonist, Maggie McCabe, whose life becomes intertwined with a conspiracy involving the global elite. This will provide attendees valuable insights into the creative process behind one of the year’s most anticipated literary releases.

All ticket purchasers will receive a copy of Gone Before Goodbye with their ticket. Additionally, those who buy VIP tickets will have exclusive benefits including a meet-and-greet photo opportunity with Witherspoon and Coben, along with a signed copy of the book.

This literary event is not the only cultural highlight in Charleston this season. The North Charleston POPS! will kick off its 2025-2026 concert season with five electrifying performances. Furthermore, local theater enthusiasts can look forward to Trustus Theatre presenting Elton John & Tim Rice’s Aida from June 20 to July 26, 2025, and Centre Stage showcasing Million Dollar Quartet from July 24 to August 10, 2025. Another notable event will see the Celtic Woman Symphony Christmas Tour take stage at the Charleston Gaillard Center on December 22, 2025.

The popular Broadway in Charleston series for the 2025-26 season is also set to commence on September 24, 2025, featuring six shows that include the hit musical The Book of Mormon. Other productions featured in the season will be The Sound of Music, The Wiz, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, MJ the Musical, and & Juliet. A special bonus show, Chicago, will also be included in this exciting lineup.

Season tickets for Broadway in Charleston are now available for purchase, starting at $285, while the Best of Broadway season at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center begins at $360. Season ticket renewals are currently ongoing, with new sales scheduled to begin on May 12, 2025. This upcoming season will feature added performances, including Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening shows, catering to the growing demand for theatrical entertainment in the area.

Mayor Reggie Burgess of North Charleston recently commended the Best of Broadway series for enhancing the local arts scene and providing residents with access to high-quality cultural experiences. Exciting news also came with the announcement that Michael Jackson’s MJ musical will make its premiere at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center in March 2026.

In preparation for the 2025-26 season, individual shows will take the stage on the following dates: Beauty and the Beast (Sept 16-21, 2025), The Sound of Music (Nov 4-9, 2025), How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (Dec 9-14, 2025), & Juliet (Feb 17-22, 2026), MJ the Musical (Mar 10-15, 2026), The Wiz (Apr 14-19, 2026), and the special bonus show, Chicago (Feb 6-8, 2026).

With an array of literary and theatrical events scheduled, Charleston is gearing up for an exciting year rich in culture and creativity.
