Hotel Horror: Housekeeper Assaulted

In a shocking turn of events, a man named Antoine Alston has been arrested in connection with a disturbing assault that took place in a Charleston County hotel. The incident unfolded on March 10 at around 11:53 a.m. when the victim, a housekeeper at the Sleep Inn, was attending to a guest room. It was reported that an unknown male forced himself into the room, resulting in a traumatic encounter.

The suspect was described as wearing a black shirt and light-colored pants. However, video surveillance from the hotel painted a clearer picture, showing a man wearing a black sweatshirt with the hood pulled up and light-colored jeans entering the victim’s room, later using a keycard to access another area. Police acted swiftly, detaining Alston at the scene. He now faces serious charges, including assault and battery in the 1st degree, burglary in the 1st degree, and kidnapping. Alston has been transported to the Al Cannon Detention Center for processing.

Robbery Rampage: Two Arrested

Ginnell Gibbs and Lakendra Scott, were arrested in connection to a strong-arm robbery. The robbery took place on a Saturday night at approximately 10 p.m. at 212 Shagbark Trail.

Gibbs has been charged with strong-arm robbery and third-degree assault and battery by mob, while Scott faces two counts of criminal conspiracy. Both suspects are currently behind bars at the L.C. Knight Detention Center, with investigations still underway as authorities piece together the circumstances surrounding this brazen crime.

A Disturbing Case of Betrayal

Courtney Darnell Dock, a former employee of the Charleston County School District, has been arrested for sexual assault and kidnapping. Dock, who is 55 years old, was taken into custody after the horrific incident was reported to law enforcement. The assault is said to have occurred at Dock’s home, and thankfully, the victim was able to escape and received assistance that led to immediate medical attention at a local hospital.

Dock worked as a student concern specialist and was also the girls’ varsity basketball assistant coach at Wando High School. Following these serious charges, the school district has terminated Dock’s employment and is providing counseling and support services to the school community in light of the situation.

Murder Investigation: A Life Cut Short

Kent Montez Reid, aged 41, has now been charged with murder in connection with the tragic death of John Johnson, who was 77 years old. The assault that led to Johnson’s death happened on May 8, but he succumbed to his injuries on December 17 due to a blunt force injury to the head.

Reid’s charges began with an assault but were upgraded following Johnson’s unfortunate passing. He is currently being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center. Reid has a checkered history, including previous charges for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and breach of peace.
