The 41st annual Festival of Black History & Culture is a free and open to the public outdoor event. It only lasts one day every September. The once-small village gathering has grown into a must-see spectacle, complete with live performances, history storytelling, dances, painting, and singing. A children’s area is also available for family-friendly activities. As with any huge festival, there are a variety of vendors selling unique art and crafts, as well as food and refreshments.
