CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson women’s basketball freshman forward Kimora Fields was named to the 2026-27 ACC Preseason All-Freshman Team, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Fields drew 96 votes and was the sixth player on the list. North Carolina guard Kate Harpring led the freshman voting with 493.

The Tigers were picked to finish ninth in the ACC preseason poll with 988 points. That is the program’s highest projection since Clemson was picked eighth before the 2019-20 season, a sign of the climb under head coach Shawn Poppie.

Fields arrives ranked No. 34 nationally by ESPN SC Next 100 and No. 48 by 247 Sports, both as a four-star prospect. She was the 2025-26 Gatorade Tennessee Girls Basketball Player of the Year and a 2026 McDonald’s All-American East nominee.

Duke was picked to win the league, and Notre Dame guard Hannah Hidalgo was named Preseason Player of the Year. Tickets are available by calling 1-800-CLEMSON.
