Dawn Staley has picked a one-word mission statement for her Gamecocks this season: Pro.

The program announced Pro as its guiding theme for the 2026-27 campaign, built around the ideas of preparation, discipline, accountability and leadership — the kind of professional-grade standard Staley has leaned on to build South Carolina into one of the sport’s dominant programs.
